A police "blitz" action is taking place this evening in the Fushë-Krujë area. Forces from the Krujë Commissariat and operational units of the Tirana Police are conducting checks for wanted persons, weapons and narcotics.
The police have set up checkpoints on the main axes of the district. Forces from the Kruja Police Commissariat are participating in this action, in cooperation with the operational units of the Tirana Police Directorate.
The checks aim to prevent criminal activity, detain wanted persons, and apprehend those who are trafficking weapons or narcotics.
The new police chiefs have placed under monitoring areas known as "hot spots", where there are exponents with criminal records, as well as areas where cannabis is grown. The police announce that the checks will continue continuously to guarantee security in the Krujë district.
