A serious incident has shaken the capital this morning, where a member of the Republican Guard was found dead in his apartment. According to preliminary information, it is suspected that 42-year-old Albert Gadica ended his life by shooting himself with his service weapon.
The incident occurred at around 07:05, in the area of Dibra Street, where authorities found the 42-year-old, an employee of the Republic Guard, without any signs of life.
Preliminary sources indicate that the victim was found inside the apartment, while police services and the investigation team immediately arrived at the scene, working to fully clarify the circumstances that led to this serious incident.
"On 27.05.2026, at around 07:05, in his apartment, on Dibra Street, citizen AG, about 42 years old, an employee of the Guard, was found without signs of life. From the first investigative actions, it is suspected that he committed suicide with his service weapon. The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is carrying out actions to clarify and fully document the circumstances of the case," the police announced.
We recall that this is not the first time that security forces have used their service weapons to commit such serious acts, once again bringing to attention concerns about the psychological state and emotional burden of blue uniformed personnel and security institutions.
