The Operational Forces and Special Forces of the General Directorate of Prisons conducted detailed checks yesterday evening at the Fushë Krujë Penitentiary Institution, as part of increased security measures and the prevention of the introduction of prohibited items.
The action was taken by order of the General Director of Prisons, Adriatik Kupi, while the controls were led by the Director of Prison Police, Senior Manager Paulin Rajta.
The checks were carried out in the internal and external premises of the institution, including the observation sector, the internal regime and the soft security zone.
During the checks, in the area between Building A and the observation premises, officers found a "Samsung" cell phone, a charging cable, and a pair of headphones hidden inside a sock.
According to the official announcement, the materials found have been referred for further investigative and procedural actions, while the Agency for Supervision of the System of Execution of Criminal Decisions has also been notified of the case.
