Members of the structured criminal group hit during the joint operation between SPAK and the Bari prosecutor's office have appeared before the Special Court, where they were briefed on security measures.
The GJKKO decided to leave in force the measure of "prison arrest" for Edi Brahaj, Ergys Kastrati and Sajmir Pirra , accused of being part of a criminal group.
Meanwhile, Nevila Kamberi was placed under house arrest, while the court changed the security measure for Lefter Nela, who is accused of transporting around 700 thousand euros to Albania. For him, the measure of "prison arrest" was replaced with "compulsory appearance".
The operation is part of a wider investigation by Albanian and Italian authorities into criminal activity and the circulation of large sums of money.
In parallel with the developments in Albania, other security measures have been implemented in Italy against several people suspected of being part of the same criminal group.
Among them are:
Igli Kamberi
Idajet Kurti
Bardhok Gjergji
Sokol Fusha
Dritan Buzi
