An organized group suspected of selling cocaine in the city of Dimal has been cracked down on after a months-long investigation, with three people arrested and two others wanted.
According to the data, citizens MM, 22 years old, and AB, 19 years old, for whom the court has imposed the measure "prison arrest", as well as EM, 17 years old, for whom "house arrest" has been imposed, have been arrested.
All three are residents of Kuçova and are accused of "production and sale of narcotics", committed in collaboration.
Meanwhile, two other people suspected of being part of the group have been declared wanted, citizens KA, 26 years old, and AB, 22 years old, for whom the measure "prison arrest" has been imposed.
Investigations have revealed that these young people, organized as a group, were obtaining cocaine, dividing it into doses and then distributing it for sale in the Dimal area.
"The police operation codenamed "Dimali 3" is being finalized, to crack down on a criminal group that was selling cocaine in Dimal.
The operation was carried out by the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Special Operations Force and under the direction of the Berat Prosecutor's Office. 3 members of the group were arrested and 2 others were declared wanted.
As a result of the investigation pursued for several months, with proactive methods, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, with the objective of bringing to criminal responsibility several citizens who, organized as a group, were selling doses of the narcotic substance cocaine in Dimal, specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Special Operations Force, finalized the operation "Dimali 3".
Within the framework of this operation, the security measures determined by the Berat Court were executed, specifically:
"Arrest in prison" for citizens MM, 22 years old, and AB, 19 years old;
"House arrest" for citizen EM, 17 years old, all three residents of Kuçovë, for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", committed in collaboration.
Also, 2 other members of this group, citizens KA, 26 years old, and AB, 22 years old, have been declared wanted, as the security measures "Arrest in prison" have been imposed on them for the same criminal activity.
During the investigation period, evidence was obtained that these citizens, organized as a group, were obtaining cocaine, dividing it into doses and then selling it in the city of Dimal. The procedural materials were referred to the Berat Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
