A photo of 47-year-old Ilir Zarka, who lost his life under unusual circumstances in Fier, during a suspected attempted burglary in an apartment, has been published.
According to preliminary information, he attempted to enter the house by breaking a window. It is suspected that Zarka climbed up with the help of a stool, but while trying to enter, he lost his balance after the support slipped.
As a result, part of his body remained trapped in the window, remaining in that position for several hours during the night, which is suspected to have caused his death.
The body was discovered in the early hours of the morning by a neighbor who was taking care of the apartment in the absence of the owner, who had been abroad for several weeks.
After the notification, the police arrived at the scene, carried out procedural actions and launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances. The victim's body was transported to the Fier morgue for forensic expertise.
Investigators suspect that the 47-year-old died of asphyxiation after being trapped in the window while attempting to enter the apartment.
The apartment that the victim attempted to rob is owned by Wan Lule, who has been in Greece with his children for a month. According to his brother, Nikollaq Lule, a neighbor who was taking care of the house found the body and notified the police. He said that when he was found, the victim was masked with a hood and gloves.
