An elderly woman in Korça has had an unusual escape after neighbors were alarmed by water dripping from the ceiling of her apartment.
Initially, a neighbor noticed the dampness and dripping, raising suspicions. They attempted to contact the elderly woman, but received no response. The neighbors then immediately notified the police.
Firefighters responded to the scene, opened the door of the apartment, and found the elderly woman lying in the shower. According to reports, she was unable to move due to health problems, including bone disease and sclerosis.
Neighbors say she lived alone and had not had contact with anyone for two days, while the wet ceiling served as an alarm signal.
The elderly woman was transported to the Korça regional hospital, where she is under the care of doctors. Hospital sources indicate that she has suffered injuries, but her life is out of danger.
