The mother of Violand Braçellari, the perpetrator of the murder of the 'Eagle' force member during today's operation, has been escorted to the Korça Police Station. Braçellari's mother is being questioned by the investigation team.
Braçellari had adapted the tent to live in for a long period of time, creating the necessary conditions for residence. Also, according to preliminary information, firearms and combat ammunition were kept there. It is learned that the perpetrator lived there alone with his mother.
We recall that during today's operation, Braçellari did not obey police calls to surrender and opened fire on the "Eagle" special forces.
As a result of the exchange of fire, officer Enea Mekolli lost his life, while Edison Adri was injured. During the operation, Braçellari himself was also injured, and, according to sources, he received three gunshot wounds.
He was a former soldier, dangerous to the residents of the area and wanted by the Vlora police for drug cultivation. It is reported that, due to the difficult terrain where he was hiding, he had escaped RENEA several times, since to get to the station you have to walk 40 minutes.
