A 37-year-old Albanian, deported for 10 years by Italian authorities, was arrested by police in Terni, although he had changed his generalities, thus attempting to evade the rule that prohibited him from entering the territory of this country.
The Albanian is accused of violating immigration rules, and was caught by a patrol on Monday night, during a check on Via Narni.
The police, according to Italian media, stopped an off-road vehicle that the Albanian had rented.
Although the driver had provided a driver's license with seemingly truthful information, the police were able to immediately identify the foreigner, linking him to an individual with numerous criminal records.
For this reason, he was subjected to detention with identification, including fingerprints, which revealed that the 37-year-old had already been expelled from Italian territory, escorted to the border by law enforcement.
He was deported in October 2022, barring him from entering for ten years. For the foreigner, who had changed his surname in his country of origin, this resulted in his arrest and detention in a security room, pending a validation hearing, which took place on Tuesday morning, where the judge on duty deemed the arrest justified, influenced by another ongoing proceeding.
