Sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of two Czech tourists, Sokol

Sokol Mjaçaj, who is serving a life sentence in the IEVP "Peqin" high security prison, is isolated in the '41 Bis' regime.

The order for the isolation of Mjacaj was given by the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja. 

Manja has stated that he will strictly implement the law on placement in the special regime (41/b) for all those detained and convicted who violate order and security, or who continue criminal activity within the IEPPs.

"No tolerance! I will strictly enforce the law. My message is clear: Convicts who violate the security of the institution or who continue criminal activity will face the consequences, immediately in the special regime 41/b, regardless of the name or the offense for which they were convicted!", said Manja.

Currently in the "41 biss" regime are Alber Kupa, Viktor Ymeri, Aleksandër Llanaj, Arbër Çekaj, Fatmir Pjetri, Kelend Çala, Eldi Çala and Redjan Rraja.

Who is Sokol Mjacaj:

Sokol Mjacaj was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of two Czech tourists in 2015 in Prekal, Shkodra. Mjacaj robbed the two young men and then executed them with firearms in their vehicle. 

After being questioned by the police, Mjacaj also narrated the dynamics of the event. According to him, he got into Lotaj in the vehicle of two Czech tourists, under the threat of a gun, with the final goal of taking their car.

But in Prekal, Michael Svatos tried to take the machine gun. At this moment, the 20-year-old shot, first killing the 27-year-old and then his girlfriend.

Born on February 14, 1995, Sokol Mjacaj served 4 years in prison for murdering a child in collaboration, an event he committed at the age of 15.
