Two people have been arrested after defrauding foreigners over the phone to invest in fictitious stock markets.
The arrested are Saimir Blini and Martin Baçi. These nationals managed a call center on Barricade Street, in which 7 operators were employed, who, together with the administrators, called foreign nationals, presented themselves as sales agents and through deception, convinced them to invest on the fictitious Forex exchange.
During the operation, 2 computer units, a USB, and mobile phones were seized as material evidence. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions.
