Tirana police have arrested a person after, together with another person, they forcibly took 1,000 euros from a 35-year-old man in Zall Mner.
The police have also seized the Peugeot vehicle that the suspected perpetrators used to flee after the theft. The 35-year-old reported the theft of 1,000 euros to the police.
The young man with the initials DS, 22 years old, has been arrested, while his 23-year-old accomplice with the initials MJ, both residents of Kamëz, has been declared wanted.
"They took 1,000 euros by force from a 35-year-old man, 2 citizens are identified. One of them is in handcuffs, work is underway to capture the other."
The vehicle used by the suspected perpetrators to flee after the theft has been seized.
The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 5, following a report from a 35-year-old man that two citizens had violently taken 1,000 euros from him in Zall Mner, immediately organized the work to identify and capture the perpetrators.
Through rapid investigative actions, citizens DS, 22 years old, and MJ, 23 years old, both residents of Kamëz, were identified. Citizen DS was placed in handcuffs, while efforts are underway to capture citizen MJ.
After the theft, these citizens fled in a "Peugeot" vehicle, which was found and seized as material evidence.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
