The Special Anti-Corruption Court has concluded a session of more than five hours, for 8 people accused of "smuggling of goods", "failure to declare income", "money laundering" and "exercising financial activities without a license".
The suspects are accused of bringing luxury jewelry to Albania suspected of being stolen in France and selling it on the local market, through a jewelry store in Tirana and online sites.
After the hearing, the Court announced the verdict, sentencing Agustin Mesuli, Altin Doda and Florian Baku to 11 years in prison, but benefiting from the shortened trial they will serve 7.5 years. Sokol Idrizaj, Elda Idrizaj, were sentenced to 8 years in prison but benefiting from the shortened trial they will serve 5.7 years in prison.

Elda Idrizaj – 8 years in prison, with a shortened sentence of 5 years and 7 months
Florian Baku – 11 years in prison, with a shortened sentence of 7 years and 5 months
Egi Idrizaj – 7 years in prison, with a shortened sentence of 4 years and 7 months (suspended due to the child)
Bora Idrizaj – 2 years in prison, converted to probation
Vangjush Kashari – Innocence
Tomor Baruti – 2 years in prison, converted to probation
