50-year-old Edmond Sula is suspected of being shot from a distance with a gun with binoculars, his property activity is being investigated
New details have emerged from the murder of a 50-year-old man in Bërxullë e Vora, where a person was killed after a gunshot attack in the early hours of the morning.
The victim has been identified as Edmond (Ali) Sula , who was allegedly shot as he approached his apartment.
The incident occurred at around 00:10 on July 12. According to preliminary information, the perpetrators are suspected of having followed and waited for the 50-year-old man near his house, opening fire on him. After the assassination, they immediately left the scene.
Sources from the investigation team indicate that it is suspected that the victim was shot from behind, with a bullet to the head, while the weapon used is suspected to have been a rifle with binoculars.
Immediately after the crime, police forces and a special investigative group arrived at the scene, which has begun work to clarify the full circumstances.
As part of the investigation, security cameras in the area have also been seized, which are expected to help identify the perpetrators and uncover their movements before and after the execution.
According to investigative sources, the 50-year-old does not appear to have a criminal record. However, authorities are verifying his background, circle of contacts and previous activities to uncover any possible motive for the crime.
One of the leads being examined is related to his activity in the field of property sales.
So far, no people have been arrested or taken into custody for the incident, while the police continue to investigate and collect evidence to identify and arrest the perpetrators. It is reported that no shell casings were found at the scene, while Sula was shot with one bullet.
"On 12.07.2026, at around 00:10, in the village of Bërxullë, Vorë, it is suspected that citizen E(A). S., around 50 years old, was shot dead, who was on the street, moving on foot.
A special investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is at the scene and continues to work to clarify the circumstances of the incident, as well as to capture any evidence that will help in its clarification, identification and capture of the suspected perpetrator(s). Police services have set up checkpoints and are conducting checks in the area, with the aim of capturing the perpetrator(s), the police statement said.
