FNSH and RENA have conducted intensive checks for the fifth consecutive day in the city of Vlora. Controls were intensified after the sniper execution of Gëzim Sinomat.
Today it is reported that checks have been carried out in several areas of Himara, while luxury vehicles have been under the "magnifying glass".
In recent days, there have been people arrested and escorted. Currently, the number of people involved in the murder of the 23-year-old has gone over 30. It is thought that they may have knowledge about the circumstances of the execution and that they may provide information to help the investigation.
We remind you that the main track on which the investigations are focused is that of revenge. This is because Gëzim Sinomati is the son of Sokol Sinomati, who is in prison for murdering a person in the 2000s. He was a member of the Gaxhai gang that operated in the coastal city in the 97s.
The young man himself does not have a criminal record either in Albania or in Belgium, the country where he lived and from where he returned a few days before the murder to celebrate the end of the year holidays.
The 23-year-old was shot by a sniper from close range while smoking a cigarette on the balcony of his apartment. The suspicions are that he was shot from the terrace of a building under construction nearby.
After the execution, the author left the scene in a BMVV car, which he burned on the outskirts of the 24 May neighborhood in the coastal city. It is believed that he was helped by other people to leave the place where he burned the vehicle to lose his tracks.
