A fight with a waiter over a coffee has ended with two victims in Manëz, Durrës. The serious incident took place near a gas station, where 33-year-old Flori Paluçi shot and killed 23-year-old Aranit Kurti. Then, 21-year-old Daniel Pepa shot the 33-year-old, leaving him dead.
The incident occurred at around 01:45, in the premises of a bar near a gas station, while the victims are both residents of the Manza area.
According to data from the investigative group, Daniel Pepa, together with Arian Kurti, went to a bar and Daniel asked the bar's waiter to make him a coffee.
The waiter replied that the espresso machine was turned off and that he couldn't make coffee.
Flori Paluçi intervened, telling him that he could not insult the waiter, since he was sitting at the table with him. After this moment, verbal arguments began between them and degenerated into the use of a firearm. According to the preliminary dynamics, the first to shoot was Flori Paluçi, who killed Arianit Kurti, and then Daniel Pepa shot and killed Paluçi.
The waiter, although involved in the initial verbal conflict, was neither injured nor a victim in this incident.
21-year-old Daniel Pepa has been declared wanted by the police, who have set up checkpoints and are conducting intensive operations to capture him.
The investigative group, under the direction of the prosecution, is continuing its work to fully elucidate the circumstances of this serious event.
The waiter himself involved in the conflict between the two victims and the wanted perpetrator has given his first testimony to the police.
"Daniel Pepa and Araniti came to the bar around 1-1.30 and asked for coffee. I told him there was no coffee because the espresso machine was turned off. He told me he definitely wanted coffee, but I told him it was turned off and it wasn't available at this time."
He got angry and at this moment Flori intervened to come to my side and the argument between them started. They went out of the bar to the door and Flori Paluçi shot at Aranit, Daniel's friend, and Daniel then took the gun and shot at Flori, leaving him dead," the waiter says.
The three young men involved in the conflict had previous acquaintances, and all three often frequented the bar where the incident occurred.
