An incident occurred in the village of Dushaj, Bulqiza, this afternoon. It is learned that a 30-year-old man was injured with a knife.
According to preliminary data, at around 17:30, the citizen with the initials Xh.D. is suspected of having injured himself with a knife, while intoxicated.
After the incident, the young man was urgently transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he is receiving specialized medical care. No official details on his health condition have been released.
The investigation team has begun work to uncover the full circumstances of the incident, including the motives and dynamics of the self-harm.
"On 27.03.2026, at around 17:30, citizen Xh.D., 30 years old, resident of the village of Dushaj, is suspected of having, while intoxicated, self-harmed with a cutting tool (knife).
The 30-year-old was transported to the Trauma Hospital, Tirana, for more specialized medical assistance.
"The investigation team continues to work to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident," the police announced.
