A low-rise apartment in neighborhood 5 of Durrës was engulfed in fire on Thursday evening, causing concern among surrounding residents.
Police forces and the fire service arrived at the scene and immediately began intervention to bring the flames under control.
The teams are operating in a difficult area, as there is a multi-story residential building next to the apartment, while on the other side is an earthquake-damaged and uninhabitable building.
This situation has increased the risk of fire spreading and has required increased caution during the operation. So far, there are no reports of injuries.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
