Jani Aliaj and Elton Çiço have been friends between them, both originally from Tepelena, until the early 2000s. The enmity was born because of a murder in 2000. Jani Aliaj shot E. Ballazhi to death with a knife, in the village of Zhabakin . Ballazhiu, 20 years old, was a childhood friend of Elton Ciço. They had grown up together in Tepelena.
After learning who the murderer was, Çiço sent word to Aliaj in prison, saying that he would take revenge for this murder. Meanwhile, Jani Aliaj was arrested in Greece for drugs at the age of 23. A little later, Elton Çiço was also arrested by the Greek police and imprisoned in Koridhalos prison, for drugs. Narcotics are believed to have been the source of conflicts within the group, which turned into a revenge saga.
In the same prison, in Koridhalos, at that time Jani Alia was also isolated, sentenced to 18 years for murder, while Ciço was sentenced to 5 years for drugs. There also happened the first physical collision between them, after Çiço wounded Aliaj with a knife, while they were out in the air.
A few weeks after the event, Jani Aliaj was released from prison after spending 10 years in prison, but he never returned and was declared wanted by the Greek police as a fugitive. A little while later, Elton Çiço also comes out, after completing his sentence. After this moment, the assassinations also begin.
On January 10, 2016, Elton Çiço tried to execute Aliaj in Tirana, on "Rruga e Kavaja". Çiço shoots several times in his direction, but the bullets only injure a random person with the initials AQ. Determined to take revenge, Çiço organized another assassination attempt, this time in Gjirokastër on April 25, 2016. Jani Alia was moving with his friend's car, when Cicho opened fire on him.
Aliaj survives again and is slightly wounded in the hand. From this moment, Jani Alia moves to Tirana and asks for the help of Renato Miloshi, with whom he had an early friendship.
On May 1, 2016, in the 'De Niro' bar in the former Block, Aliaj, disguised with a wig, executed Elton Çiço with 2 bullets. For the incident, the police announced Jani Aliaj and Renato Milloš as the perpetrators. This event brought several consecutive assassinations, where Nelgert Papa, who was considered a friend of Aliajt, and who had survived a previous attack, was also killed for revenge.
