The session for examining Jamarbër Malltez's request for changing the security measure has been postponed.
His request will be examined simultaneously with that of Sali Berisha on March 8.
The Special Court has combined the case of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, who have requested the revocation of the security measure of arrest and imprisonment against them after considering that the cases are in the same state and level of proceedings before the same court .
The security measure against Malltez was changed in November 2023, leaving him under house arrest.
One month after his arrest at the Rinas airport, the Olldashi Appeal Judge decided to change the security measure given by the GJKKO judge Irena Gjoka from 'prison arrest' to 'house arrest'. Malltezi was
arrested in October 2023 at the airport of The Renaissance.
GJKKO imposed the "prison arrest" measure for Malltez, who is suspected of money laundering and corruption, as well as confiscation of all his assets.
Jamarbër Malltez is accused of corruption, article 260 together with Berisha and article 287 corruption in collaboration with Fatmir Bektashi. While Fatmir Bektashi is accused of active corruption under Article 245 and Article 287 in cooperation with Malltez.
The only file with which the name of Malltez is connected and for which SPAK has been reported is that of the privatization of the former sports club "Partizani".
