A serious road accident happened at noon this Thursday on the Lezhë-Laç road, near the village of Gajush.
A heavy tonnage trailer and a Ford type car were involved in the accident, where a traffic police officer was injured as a result.
As a result of the collision, it is learned that the driver of the Ford car, citizen Gjergj Vasia, a police officer of DVP Lezhë, who had just finished his service, was seriously injured.
The police of Lezha announces that the police officer is being sent to the trauma hospital in Tirana, for medical help, as he is in a serious state of health.
According to preliminary data, the officer driving the vehicle was trying to enter the main road when he was hit by the trailer.

Around 3:30 p.m., on the "Lezhë-Milot" road axis, the truck driven by the Bosnian citizen Nj. G. collided with the vehicle driven by citizen Gj. V., police officer of DVP Lezhë, who had just finished his service.
As a result of the accident, citizen Gj was injured. V., who is being sent to the Trauma hospital, Tirana, for medical assistance. With the citizen Nj. G. procedural actions are being carried out.
The investigation group and OPGJ of the AMP, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continue the work to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
