The international operation "The Wanted" has brought two important extraditions to Albania. Italian and German authorities handed over Hajrulla Xhivini and Brian Syzon, respectively, both wanted for serious criminal offenses.
Hajrulla Xhivini, 42 years old, was arrested in Italy and extradited to our country after the order of the Tirana Court, which had assigned him the measure of “prison arrest”. He is accused of “Threats due to duty” and “Disturbance of public peace”. According to the investigations, in February 2024, Xhivini repeatedly threatened Judge EL of the Lushnja Administrative Court, through phone calls and public protests in front of the High Court. It should be noted that he also ran for Director General of Police months ago when the competition for the new head opened.
Meanwhile, Brian Syzo, 34, who was wanted by Albanian justice for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", was extradited from Germany. The Korça Prosecutor's Office accuses him of distributing cocaine in the city of Pogradec, and he was sentenced to "prison arrest".
The two citizens were handed over to the General Directorate of Prisons, taking Interpol Tirana's cooperation with international partners for the criminal prosecution of Albanian fugitives a step further.
