Ruben Saraiva, suspected of being the executor of businessman Ardian Nikulaj, appeared again in the Lezha Court this Monday.
For months, relatives of both parties have been called to testify in the courtroom, while today's hearing brought the testimonies of Edmond Haxhi's mother and his relative, Nertila Haxhia, Top Channel reports.
Both witnesses stated that Edmond Haxhia had come to Albania to get married, as well as to complete the documentation for the trip to England, where his wife was.
Edmond's mother claimed that she has no knowledge of her son's whereabouts. During her testimony, she appeared emotionally distressed and at several points sought support from lawyer Cakrani.
At the end of the session, the prosecutor requested the call of a new witness, while the defense attorney, Cakrani, again requested the appearance in court of Edmond Haxhi's ex-wife.
The next session is scheduled for November 17th.
