A 34-year-old German citizen has been arrested by federal police at Munich airport to serve the remainder of a sentence related to international drug trafficking.
The woman was found guilty by Albanian justice of involvement in the trafficking of around 500 kilograms of cocaine from Colombia to Albania, an operation that, according to investigations, was organized together with her husband. The drugs were transported hidden in loads of artificial fertilizer.
For this matter, in 2024 she was sentenced to eight years in prison in Albania. Then, in early 2026, the 34-year-old requested to serve her sentence in Germany.
The Bremen Regional Court accepted her transfer and ruled to recognize the decision given by the Albanian authorities. As a result, the sentence was adjusted according to German law to five years and two months in prison, deducting the time previously spent in prison in Albania.
After arriving at Munich airport and completing police procedures, the woman was taken to the women's prison in Munich, where she will serve the remainder of her sentence.
