A 63-year-old man in Fier has been arrested after being suspected of cultivating 1,000 cannabis sativa plants. The arrested man has been identified as Aristir Marini.
According to the blue uniforms, these seedlings were planted in a place called "Gropa e Mollës", which were destroyed by burning them.
Meanwhile, work is underway to identify and capture other people who may be involved in this case of cultivation of narcotic plants.
"Fier/The national operational plan, codenamed "Coordination", continues, with the objective of preventing and combating the cultivation of narcotic plants. 1000 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa seedlings are found in the village of Libofshë and destroyed. The suspected author of their cultivation is identified and arrested.
In implementation of the special police plan, against the criminal activity of cultivating narcotic plants, the services of the Fier Police Commissariat are carrying out intensive checks throughout the territory of the district. As a result of the checks assisted by drones as well as police information, the Police services hit a case of this criminal activity, in the village of Libofshë.
In the place called "Gropa e Mollas", 1000 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa seedlings were found cultivated, which were destroyed by burning. As a result of the investigative and procedural actions carried out in this case, the suspected perpetrator, citizen AM, 63 years old, resident of the village of Libofshë, was identified and arrested. Work is underway to identify other citizens who may have been implicated in this criminal activity. The checks continue. The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier, for further action", the police announced.
