In the pockets of 42-year-old Egli Proga, only 107 thousand old ALL and 5 euros were found. That was the daily turnover which he refused to give to Denis Meçe, near his bar in Pogradec, before the latter beat him to death.
In the file of the Korça prosecutor's office, revealed by Top Channel, it is emphasized that during the body search, Egli Proga found 8,700 Lek and 5 euros in one pocket and two 2,000 Lek coins in the other pocket.
The contradictory testimonies of the people who were present during the event have raised even more doubts about what happened in the lawsuit on Saturday.
The owner of the bar where the incident took place admits he was only a few meters away from the two boys, but says he didn't hear anything and his bar's cameras were strangely unable to record.
" They didn't have any kind of argument or conflict between them and it lasted a very short time after he only drank half of the beer and got up and went to the toilet. When he went outside, people called loudly asking for water and I quickly went outside and saw him lying on the ground, I lifted him to give him help until the ambulance came to take him. I checked the camera that I have at the bar and it didn't record at all, but only what you see at the moment and nothing more .
30 meters away from the place where the incident took place, Igli Proga's cousin was also there, who declared in front of the judicial police officer that he did not see either the incident or the perpetrator.
" I did not approach, but I saw from afar that the owner of the bar came out and approached the person who fell on the ground and was giving him help. I was told that the person who had fallen to the ground was my cousin, citizen Eglantin Proga. I approached immediately and the people who were there called the ambulance that came in 10 minutes. I could not identify the person who punched my cousin. When I saw him, I didn't hear any shouting or cursing ."
