New details emerge from the police investigation into the murder of 22-year-old Albanian Ilaria Sula, while her ex-boyfriend, Mark Antony Samson, remains in prison.

Recently, a boy who Ilaria met on Tinder also reacted. In his testimony, he says that he had never met Ilaria.

He was the very boy Samson used to camouflage the crime, whom he mentioned in Ilaria's messages as the person he had slept with.

He tells "La Repubblica" that he had spoken to Ilaria and exchanged several messages, but had never even heard her voice, let alone met her.

"It was an acquaintance at first. We talked a little and she told me that she was breaking up with a relationship. But that was it. Then, Ilaria's friends called me. That's when I realized that someone tried to involve me," the young man said.

The boy's story, already taken by investigators, gives us glimpses of those hours in which Ilaria's friends and family began to realize that something was wrong.

"We spoke a few days before the crime. It was an acquaintance at first, we wanted to meet. We talked a little, even about old stories. She told me she was breaking up with her boyfriend," the young man continues his testimony.

Then Ilaria disappears and the search begins. A few days later, the student's friends contacted him.

"They asked me where she was, showing me a photo of Ilaria topless sent from her cell phone ," the boy said.

This is the photo that Mark Samson, pretending to be Ilaria, sends to his best friend Maria Sofia: "We met this morning outside La Sapienza and he asked me if I wanted to go out today, just like that, by chance," he wrote, in an attempt to deceive Ilaria's friend.

To make it more believable, the accompanying photo arrives. It arouses her friend's curiosity, but she is suspicious and asks to send her location.

"I can't. I'm practically in Naples," says Samson, who writes on behalf of Ilaria.

Hours pass and there is no news about the girl. Friends contact the young man in the photo.

"They asked me where Ilaria was: at that moment I seemed involved, but I never was: I never even heard this girl's voice. So I decided to make myself available, explaining to them and her brother that Ilaria had never been with me. I have never felt an emotional involvement for her, but I am very sad from a human point of view ," he declared.

Ilaria was gruesomely murdered by her ex-boyfriend, who said he took her life in his home and then stuffed her in a suitcase, dumping her in a wooded area outside Rome. He then used the 22-year-old's phone to cover his tracks, posing as her and telling her friends that he had gone to another guy's house near Naples.
