A day after the shocking news where 24-year-old Albi Muhollari suffocated his mother, Zeniat Muhollari with a plastic bag, the surrounding neighbors have spoken to the media. They appear shocked and in total shock at the serious crime in the family.
Asked if they knew if the 24-year-old was suffering from depression, they denied seeing any signs that could have indicated it. One of the neighbors who spoke, said that Albi Muhollari did all his studies in America and that he was excellent. Recently, 3-4 months ago, his parents also went to visit their son in America.
However, neighbors say they have known them for 30 years and had not noticed if the boy suffered from mental health problems. However, Albi Muhollar's father, according to the neighbors, had said that his son would have to stay in the hospital.
" We have known that family for 30 years. It had been 3 months since the parents had gone there, while the son was 10 and went to school there. We found out at one o'clock in the morning. We had no idea he was suffering from depression. They told us that they should have kept him in the hospital. The father had notified the police, but they could not take it because they needed the doctor's signature. We had neighbors. We grew up with them. You don't know he had problems with depression. He was sick, but the doctor didn't give him anything. I had never seen the boy coming and going to America often ," the neighbors told the media.
The Muhollari couple and their son had returned from America to Përmet for about 3 days to spend the summer holidays. The son, 24-year-old Albi Muhollari, allegedly suffocated his mother with plastic because of his depressed state. For the serious incident, the father blames the doctor of the Përmet hospital, who did not keep his son hospitalized there.
Apparently, both were aware of their son's health condition and tried to help him get cured. However, since the doctor did not take over the case, the police could not take it either, as the doctor's signature would be needed.
