An unusual event happened in Korça, where three people transported 23 illegal immigrants for profit, who stole them by force and then kept them in an abandoned apartment, depriving them of their freedom in exchange for 10,000 euros.
Based on the information obtained during the operation, it was possible to arrest three Albanian citizens, aged 38, 24 and 23, respectively, residents of Maliq, Vlora and Tirana.
During the operation, 3 vehicles, 3 mobile phones, a metal stick, and an amount in Euros and Lek were seized.
"DVP Korçë/Finalized police operation coded "Midnight 21". They transported for profit, 23 illegal immigrants who stole them by force and then kept them in an abandoned apartment, depriving you of your freedom in exchange for 10,000 euros, 3 citizens were caught and put in handcuffs.
During the pursuit, one of the arrested did not obey the order of the Police officers to stop, while the other had a metal stick in the vehicle.
3 vehicles, 3 mobile devices, metal stick, amount in Euro and Lek are seized.
The Illegal Traffic Investigation Specialists of DVP Korçë in cooperation with DVKM Korçë and the services of the Maliq Police Station, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, organized and finalized the coded police operation "Midnight 21". As a result of this operation, the following citizens were arrested in the act:
-KA, 38 years old, resident of the village of Bregas, Maliq;
- AL, 24 years old, resident of Vlora;
-EL, 23 years old, resident in Tirana.
The Police Services, based on the information provided by the information intelligence, that in the village of Bregas, Maliq, some citizens were keeping illegal immigrants in an abandoned apartment against their will, organized the actions and made it possible to locate the apartment in this village . During the control exercised in this environment, 23 illegal immigrants were found.
From the entirety of the investigative actions and the evidence provided, it turned out that the above three citizens in cooperation between them had transported the foreign citizens with a van-type vehicle and then hid them in the abandoned apartment, where they had stolen their mobile phones through threats theirs. In exchange for their freedom, the perpetrators had asked the immigrants for 10,000 euros.
Falë ndërhyrjes së shpejtë të Policisë u bë e mundur kapja e shtetasve K. A. dhe A. L., të cilët u konstatuan në fshatin Bregas, me automjetin tip furgon me të cilin kishin transportuar 23 emigrantët me qëllim kalimin e paligjshëm të tyre drejt vendeve të BE-së. Shtetasi A. L., sapo ka konstatuar se ishte në ndjekje nga Policia, ka tentuar të largohet me shpejtësi duke mos iu bindur urdhrit të punonjësve të Policisë, për të ndaluar, por menjëherë është kapur dhe neutralizuar. Gjithashtu shërbimet e Policisë kapën edhe shtetasin E. L., i cili po lëvizte me një automjet tip “Audi”, gjatë kontrollit të të cilit u gjet një shkop metalik i ngjashëm me atë të policisë.
Në kuadër të këtij operacioni në cilësinë e provës materiale u sekuestruan 3 automjete, 3 aparate celulare, 1 shkop metalik dhe sasi në lekë dhe euro.
