The structures for the investigation of narcotics, in the Criminal Police Department, in the General Directorate of the State Police, in cooperation with the Montenegrin police, are investigating a case of trafficking of an amount of about 300 kilograms of the narcotic substance cannabis sativa, from Albania to Montenegro .
The police of the two countries have intensified in-depth investigative actions for the clarification and complete documentation of this case.
During the night, at the Montenegrin customs, as a result of police intelligence and detailed control by the Montenegrin customs authorities, a "Renault" type truck was blocked, driven by the citizen KO who was accompanied by his father, the citizen IO , both residents of Durrës.
During the check on the truck loaded with boards and pallets, which were destined for Austria, the customs authorities of Montenegro, during the detailed check, found a quantity of about 300 kg of cannabis sativa narcotic.
The Albanian police, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, as well as with the Montenegrin police and customs authorities, are conducting joint investigative actions to document this criminal activity.
