With remote-controlled mines, explosives connected to detonator capsules and explosives, from Lura towards Rreshen, the 45-year-old man from Lura was caught red-handed at the entrance to Rreshen.
During the search of the apartment in Lure, the Police found 2 firearms, explosives, detonator capsules, hundreds of ammunition and fire fuses.
Two and a half months ago, the Police handcuffed a 28-year-old man and seized 2 remote-controlled mines.
Following successive operations for the prevention of criminal events, based on police intelligence and in implementation of the measures of the nationwide operational plan coded "Rule of Law", the services of the Mirdita Police Station provided information that a citizen was transporting mines by remote control. in the direction of Rreshen.
Based on this information, they successfully organized and finalized the coded police operation "Safe City 2", during which, at the entrance to the town of Rreshen, a 45-year-old AK citizen, born in Thumane, Krujë, was caught red-handed.
During the physical control exercised against this citizen, the Police found and seized:
• 4 remote control mines connected to a mobile device with suspected explosive substances;
• 3 molds of suspected explosive substance with capsule and fuse;
• 3 capsules connected with fuse;
• 2 other molds of suspected explosive material.
Following the actions, during the checks in the old apartment of the arrested citizen's father, in Lure, Dibër, the services of the Mirdita Police Station, in cooperation with the Dibra Police, found in the apartment 2 firearms, explosives such as the one that was mounted on remote-controlled mines, 10 offensive/defensive grenade launchers, 10 detonator capsules, dozens of meters of fuse, as well as hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
The investigative structures of the Mirdita Police Station, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, continue the work for the complete clarification of the circumstances of this case, as well as for the identification and arrest of other citizens involved in this criminal activity.
