A person has been arrested and his brother is wanted, after they were caught with mines and explosives which they suspected they would use in serious criminal events that would be carried out by remote-controlled detonation of explosives.
From the preliminary data, it is known that "during the investigation of this case, 2 remote-controlled mines, with C4 explosive weighing 300 grams, programmed for remote detonation, were seized, which were to be used by two brothers.
One of them is put in handcuffs, the other brother is declared wanted.
Services of Police Station No. 3, following the intensive work to guarantee the rule of law throughout the country, to prevent criminal events, as well as to capture and bring before criminal responsibility, citizens who are a danger to public order and security, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office The Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana organized and finalized the coded operation "Brothers".
As a result, citizen Jesar Shabaj, 20 years old, resident in Tirana (and in Shkodër) was arrested.
His brother, citizen Jaser Shabaj, 23 years old, resident of Postriba, Shkodër, was also declared wanted.
During the investigative actions carried out as part of the proceedings for this case, 2 remote-controlled landmines, with C4 explosives weighing 300 grams, programmed for remote detonation (equipped with a mobile device and with detonator capsules), which are suspected to be used to commit serious criminal events. The cell phone of the 20-year-old detained as well as a fist amplifier (metal handle) were also seized. In-depth investigative actions continue, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, to document the implication of other persons involved in this criminal activity," the Police announced.
