A day after the fatal accident that occurred in Voskopoja, Korça yesterday evening, the Police have arrested the driver of the vehicle.
According to the blue uniforms, citizen FH, 73 years old, resident of Korça, was arrested and will be investigated for violating traffic rules, resulting in death.
The incident occurred at around 20:40 on the road to the village of Voskopoja, when the 53-year-old victim with the initials AE, who was traveling by bicycle, was hit by a vehicle driven by the elderly man.
"Regarding the accident that occurred in Voskopoja, as a result of which citizen AD, 53 years old, lost her life, we inform that specialists from the Road Traffic Sector arrested in flagrante delicto the driver of the vehicle that allegedly caused the accident, FH, 73 years old, resident of Korça," the local police announced.
Initially, after the incident, officers escorted the suspected driver and today arrested him, while investigations are still active.
