The Saranda Court has set the security measure of 'prison arrest' for 23-year-old Kevin Norra, who caused the tragic accident in which the two Dhimaku sisters lost their lives.
In the hearing, the prosecutor in the case, Besjana Sadikaj, requested a prison sentence, which the court accepted.
Norra was arrested immediately after the tragic incident that occurred on Sunday evening for drunk driving and wrong-way overtaking.
According to the police, Norra, a resident of Fier, was driving his Audi while intoxicated. For this reason, he is charged with the criminal offenses of "Violation of traffic regulations" and "Irregular driving".
"This citizen, on 24.08.2025, at around 20:15, on the Delvinë-Sarandë road, driving an "Audi" type vehicle, in a drunken state (from the verifications carried out at the scene, the result was: the first alcohol test at 1.52 mg/l, while the second test at 1.42 mg/l), collided with a "Lancia" type vehicle, driven by citizen E. Dh., 22 years old. As a result of the accident, citizens E. Dh., 22 years old, and R. Dh., 20 years old, lost their lives, while citizen A. Zh., 24 years old, was seriously injured and is under the care of doctors," the police explained.
