
The former commander Neim Avdulaj has entered the "41 Biss" regime.
Avdylaj was put in the strict regime today after the request of the Directorate of Prisons, also approved by SPAK. This request was also signed by the Minister of Justice Ulsi Manja.
Currently, 14 more requests, which are being kept under observation and are high security prisoners, are being examined by SPAK for weeks.
Avdulaj was arrested and investigated for serious crimes for the armed robbery of blinds that were transporting 3.2 million dollars in the Qafe-Kashar axis. He told the investigative team how the plan was organized to rob the money, showing that he was the person who guaranteed that he would find other people capable of committing the robbery.
" Convicted citizen Neim Avdulaj has been placed in the segregated regime for 1 (one) year at IEVP Peqin. The decision was taken within the framework of measures for securing and keeping under control high-risk convicts, based on the sentence of his 17 years and 4 months imprisonment.
Avdulaj was convicted by the Court of First Instance for Serious Crimes in Tirana, with a decision dated 25.03.2019, which was upheld by the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime with decision no. 20, dated 12.07.2021. He was found guilty of the following criminal offences:
-"Theft of banks and savings banks" committed more than once, in the form of a structured criminal group;
- "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition," carried out repeatedly, in the form of a structured criminal group;
- "Participation in a structured criminal group." ", said the Directorate of Prisons.
