The appeal of the GJKKO has left in force the security measure of "prison arrest" for Xenofon Bodo, accused of being part of the criminal group of the drug baron Gëzim Çela.
He had appealed the decision of the Special Court, but the black squads rejected his request, leaving him in prison.
"The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a monocratic panel composed of judge Florjan Kalaja, today, 28.05.2024, announced the decision on criminal case no. 22 act, date 23.05.2024 registration, on the complaints of the person under investigation KB, with object: "Complaint against the decision no. 46, dated 29.04.2024, verified by decision no. 48, dated 02.05.2024 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime", disposed of in the case of personal security measures, and decided:
Xenofon Bodo, Alket Deda and Selami Lushkaj were arrested on May 1 as part of the criminal group of the drug baron Gëzim Çela. Their names have emerged from the conversations of former policeman Arlind Ismailuka. It is known that they cooperated with Arben Dalipaj, who is wanted.
Several cases of drug trafficking have also been documented in Italy, Turkey, Kosovo and Greece
Alket Deda, Xenofon Bodo, Selami Lushkaj are accused of committing the criminal offenses "Trafficking in narcotics", carried out in cooperation within the framework of the structured criminal group, "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by the criminal organization and the group of structured criminal".
Following the procedural actions, in relation to criminal proceedings no. 185, of 2023, in the framework of which, the police operation dated 15.08.2023, named "Flame at sea", where an attempt was made to traffic a significant amount of narcotics through the sea, the Special Court of First Instance First for Corruption and Organized Crime, with decision no. 46, dated 29.04.2024, has accepted the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office, for setting the measure of security for the persons under investigation AD, SL and KB, as persons suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Trafficking of narcotics", carried out in collaboration within the structured criminal group, "Structured criminal group" and "Commitment of criminal offenses by criminal organization and structured criminal group", provided by articles 283/a, 333/a and 334 of the Criminal Code.
The security measures against persons under ADSL and KB investigation were executed by the Judicial Police Officers at the General Directorate of the State Police on 30.04.2024.
During the execution of the decision on the assignment of security measures, control was exercised in some residences and commercial entities.
