A 39-year-old man was arrested in Vlora, after driving around with a pistol and ammunition in his car. Official sources from the police informed that the citizen with the initials MH, a resident of Vlora, was behind bars.
"In implementation of the measures of the operational plan "Rule of Law", another case of possession of weapons without a permit is dealt with. The 39-year-old man was driving around in a vehicle, armed with a firearm, caught in the act and put in handcuffs.
The police operation coded "Strike 13" is being finalized by the Serious Crimes Sector of DVP Vlorë, in cooperation with the Vlorë Police Station and the "Eagle" Special Force. The police seized 1 firearm, pistol, combed with combat ammunition.
The Police Services, following the work to prevent and combat criminal activity in the field of illegal possession of weapons, based on the information provided on the operative route that a citizen was moving armed, in the "29 November" neighborhood, have organized and finalized the operation coded "Strike 13", within which the citizen was arrested red-handed: - MH, 39 years old, resident of Vlora.
During the operation, the Police services stopped the "Opel" type vehicle, in which the 39-year-old man was driving, and carried out a search, during which, in the dashboard, they found and seized as material evidence, 1 firearm, a pistol with comb and war ammunition.
The investigative actions for the complete documentation of the criminal activities of this citizen continue. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Vlorë, for further actions" , the police informs.
