Police have investigated the injury in Kurbin, which was initially reported as gunshots to a police officer.
Blue uniforms indicate that a 28-year-old man identified as Klaudio Buraku, wanted for several criminal offenses, has been arrested by the Kurbin Police, and while attempting to escape, he crashed into a police vehicle.
It is learned that 3 firearms (2 pistols and 1 Kalashnikov) were seized.
A relative of the 28-year-old is also being accompanied to the police station, as at the time of the police intervention, the person being escorted is suspected of having shot a 26-year-old who was in the vehicle with the 28-year-old.
"Wanted for several criminal offenses, he was driving around armed and crashed into a police vehicle. During the operation to capture him, the 28-year-old was arrested. 3 firearms (2 pistols and 1 Kalashnikov) were seized."
A relative of the 28-year-old is also being accompanied to the police station, as at the moment of the Police intervention to arrest the wanted citizen, the person being escorted is suspected of having wounded with a firearm a 26-year-old who was in the vehicle with the 28-year-old.
The operational services of the Lezha Police Department, in continuation of their work to capture wanted citizens and those who are carrying weapons, narcotics and/or other illegal items, based on information provided by police intelligence regarding a dangerous citizen who was carrying weapons in the city of Laç, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Shadows".
The Police Services received information that the wanted citizen was moving in a vehicle, in neighborhood no. 4, Laç. At the moment of intervention to stop this citizen, the Police Services heard gunshots, and immediately intervened.
Police services were put in pursuit of the vehicle that was moving at high speed, as soon as the Police services were established. During the pursuit, the vehicle driven by the wanted citizen, in an attempt to evade the services, collided with the operational services vehicle of the Lezha DVP.
Police services have neutralized and arrested citizen KB, 28 years old, resident of Laç. During the search, the Police found and seized 3 firearms (2 pistols and 1 Kalashnikov) and combat ammunition. This citizen was wanted in 2023, for illegal possession of weapons, intimidation and destruction of property.
From the investigative actions carried out at the scene, it is suspected that before the Police intervened to arrest the wanted person, other citizens were also in his vehicle. During a conflict for weak motives, it is suspected that citizen Gj. B., a relative of citizen KB, wounded citizen MD, 26 years old, in the leg with a pistol, who was immediately transported to the hospital by the Police services and his life is out of danger.
It is also suspected from the investigative actions that citizen Gj. B., after injuring the 26-year-old, got out of the vehicle driven by citizen KB, and fled at high speed, on foot.
"The Police Services, during the operation codenamed "Shadows", have arrested and escorted citizen Gj. B., and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, actions continue to document the circumstances of the case. At the end of the actions, there will be complete information regarding the case," the police announced.
