The court of Durrës has made the decision for Bahrije Gjini, the grandmother who kidnapped her 3-year-old grandson from his mother. The 57-year-old woman was ordered to appear "compulsory appearance" and the session was held behind closed doors.

The grandmother has shown that she slept in different places while she kidnapped the 3-year-old boy. She also said that the other son who is in Belgium asked her to return the minor to his mother.
" We decided together with my husband Rexhepi to take the grandson and raise him ourselves because he is our son's son. In this way, last Saturday we took it and I left the house and went to my village in Gjinaj of Kruma to my parents. I slept there one night. The next day I went to the Good Place in the village of Buzmadh in Kukës. I slept one night in Buzmadh. On the third day I went to Kukës to my cousin where I slept for one night. Then I went to Tirana where I slept in 4 different hotels. I decided to hand over my nephew because of the police pursuit, but also because one of my brothers was arrested and another is wanted because they have no hand in this matter. Even my son, who is in Belgium, insisted that I return the boy to his mother" , said the grandmother in her testimony.
