The kidnapping and murder of Jan Prenga, Dritan Rexhepi speaks for the first

Dritan Rexhepi spoke for the first time at the GJKKO regarding the kidnapping and murder of Jan Prenga.

SPAK accuses Dritan Rexhepi of ordering the crime. But during the hearing, Rexhepi denied the accusation. He also denied knowing Gentian Funiq, one of the people accused by SPAK in connection with the incident that occurred in January 2020.

Rexhepi also explained that at the time of the incident he was in the Prato prison, in high security, due to a process in the Florence Appeal.

"I was in high security in the Prato prison after I had my appeal in Florence and was held for 10 days. I don't know him, because I have never seen Gentian Funiq in my life. I will prove this to the prosecutors with the following evidence," Rexhepi declared.

During today's hearing, the defendants' lawyers objected to the documentary evidence presented by SPAK.

Prenga's murder occurred after the theft of 260 kg of cocaine from the victim's brother at the Port of Portsmouth. The cocaine was stolen by Astrit Prenga, Gëzim Shullani, Xhuliano from Shkodra and a Romanian.

In connection with the crime, 8 people were initially arrested, mainly members of the Hajri family, but they were released one by one.

The following have been sent to trial: Dritan Rexhepi, Gentjan Funiqi, Martin Bleta and Korado Keshteja. Also named as defendants are Artan Doçaj, Aldo Majnishta and Geraldo Martini.

SPAK claims that Dritan Rexhepi and Gentjan Funiqi (Doçaj) ordered the kidnapping, while the organization was carried out by defendants Martin Bleta and Korado Keshteja.

The kidnapping was carried out by defendants Artan Doçaj, Aldo Majnishta, Geraldo Martini and another unidentified person.
