A large-scale fire has broken out in a building in the Paris Commune. Police announced that the fire broke out in the garage of the building, while a supermarket located there was also engulfed in flames.
The situation has worsened, blocking the entrance to the building and this has led to many police and fire forces intervening to evacuate the residents. As can be seen in the footage, firefighters are using emergency ladders to get the residents out of their apartments.
The fire broke out at the “Kika 1” complex. It should be noted that 5 days ago a large fire broke out at the “Kika 2” apartment complex. The flames lasted for more than an hour and there was only material damage. The cause of the fire is suspected to have been an electrical spark in an electrical package in an office. Meanwhile, the cause of the fire today is still unknown. But the entire building is filled with smoke and this has caused all residents to evacuate.
" On 25.01.2025, at around 18:00, in the Municipality of Paris, at Kika 1, a fire broke out in the garage of an 8-story building.
Police services are at the scene, enabling the evacuation of residents, while fire services are working to extinguish the fire.
"The investigation team is working to determine the cause of the fire ," the police initially announced.
The National Civil Protection Agency then reacted, announcing that the situation was brought under control thanks to the deployment of 2 fire engines. According to it, 3 cars parked in the garage were burned and the cause of the fire was an electrical spark.
" According to reports from the Civil Protection structures of the Municipality of Tirana, the fire on the underground floor of the Kika Complex in the Municipality of Paris has been brought under control by 2 fire engines and 10 firefighters. 3 parked vehicles have been burned, residents have been evacuated and the situation does not pose a danger to people. There is still smoke and it is initially suspected that the cause is an electrical spark. The structures of the MZSH and the State Police are continuing operations at the scene to guarantee safety and a full investigation of the circumstances ," the announcement states.
