A 48-year-old man who attempted to smuggle vehicle parts from Kosovo to Albania has been arrested at the Morina border crossing.
According to the police, the arrested person, a resident of Kosovo, had his car seized while he was driving and the vehicle parts he was going to exchange/sell in our country.
"The Border Police Services in Morina, in continuation of their work to combat cross-border crimes, based on risk analysis, have passed through a second-line check, at the entrance to the Republic of Albania, the vehicle driven by citizen BM.
During the search of the vehicle, the Police services found and seized various vehicle parts, without accompanying invoices, which this citizen attempted to smuggle into Albania, to exchange/sell.
At the end of the investigative actions, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Kukës DVKM arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen BM, 48 years old, resident of Kosovo, for the criminal offense of "Smuggling of other goods". The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further actions," the police announced.
