A 44-year-old man was arrested by the Tirana Police as part of an operation codenamed "Transporter" for carrying firearms in the car.
According to the police, the citizen Klyd (Albert) Celaku (Çelaku) is accused of trafficking weapons from Kosovo to Albania.
During the control of the vehicle that the 44-year-old man was driving, two pistols were found, one of them with a cartridge in the slot, ready to fire, a silencer, a comb and combat ammunition.
The police also seized the vehicle and the mobile phone.
The authorities have launched investigations to discover the illegal activity of the 44-year-old as well as his connections in arms trafficking. According to the announcement made public by the police, the 44-year-old turns out to have several identities.
