The Tirana police arrested a 30-year-old man after transporting illegal immigrants from the capital to the north of Albania.
During the control, the police officers seized a full 7200 euros from the 30-year-old, a lot of money that is suspected to have benefited from this illegal activity.
The young man passed the immigrants at the border points, with the final destination being EU countries.
The police found and confiscated 10 suspected forged passports, sim cards, 2 USBs, 6 credit cards, collection orders with different amounts and 2 stamps.
"DVP Tirana, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Tirana, immediately after the release of the footage, organized the work to identify and bring before the legal responsibility of a citizen mentioned in the video.
Following the actions, the citizen K. Sh., 30 years old, resident in Tirana, was arrested. This citizen is suspected of having promised people from third countries, who have illegally entered our country, transportation from Tirana to the north of Albania, in exchange for a monetary reward, in order to pass them to the border points, with the final destination of EU.
As material evidence, 7280 euros, 10 suspected forged passports, SIM cards, 2 USBs, 6 credit cards, collection mandates with different amounts, and 2 stamps were seized.
The procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
