A 49-year-old Albanian man was arrested by the Italian Police.
The 49-year-old is accused of the criminal offense of attempted murder, theft and illegal possession of a pistol.
The investigative activity is currently in the preliminary investigation phase. The investigation began after the armed robbery committed on the evening of May 4 in a bar on Via Costantino Baroni. In this circumstance, the author had appeared in front of the business owners at the time of closing in the evening and had attempted to rob the proceeds and a large number of scratch tickets worth 15 thousand euros.
To complete his action, since the victims were sheltered inside, he fired several times at the door, which silenced the shots, but slightly wounded the owners.
The same person, on May 6, attempted to rob a grocery store in Via Feraboli, armed with a gun, but failed to take anything.
The subsequent reconstruction of serious criminal episodes was the result of a rapid and intensive investigation carried out by agents of the Crime Section through technical activities, video analysis and taking statements from persons informed of the facts.
The intervention of the agents of the Regional Scientific Police Cabinet for Lombardy was also decisive, as they found footprints on the entrance door of the robbed bar, which were later attributed to the arrested person.
The Albanian citizen, after intensive police searches, was found on Thursday afternoon in Via Costantino Baroni and was arrested.
A single-round semi-automatic handgun was found on him, along with an eight-round magazine consistent with those found near the front door of the robbed bar, 13 more rounds and a knife. Moreover, some clothes used during the robberies were found inside the apartment.
