A 23-year-old man from Tirana was arrested on the national axis "Gjirokastër-Kakavijë" transporting two illegal immigrants for profit.
The citizen Ajdi Bizhjoni, a resident of Tirana, was taken into custody.
The authorities seized the "BMW" vehicle with which the young man was transporting the immigrants and 1 mobile phone.

The vehicle in which the immigrants were transported and 1 mobile phone were seized as material evidence.
The specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic, in cooperation with the services of the Operational Section, of the Special Force "Shqiponja" and of the Traffic Police Sector, of DVP Gjirokastër, following the work for the prevention, identification and suppression of the criminal activity of assistance for illegal border crossing, supported by police intelligence, have finalized the coded police operation "Midnight sun", as a result of which the citizen A. B, 23 years old, resident in Tirana, was arrested.
In the national axis "Gjirokastër-Kakavije", in the place called "Sofratik", this citizen was caught in the act while transporting, for profit, 2 immigrants from third countries, who intended to cross illegally from Albania to EU countries. .
As material evidence, the "BMW" type vehicle and 1 mobile phone were seized.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions", the police informs.
