Three people were arrested red-handed by the police while they were transporting vehicle parts, worth about 8000 euros, smuggled from Kosovo by bus.
In connection with the case, 1 customs officer of the Morin Customs Branch was also arrested and in the investigation 3 police officers of the PKK Morin, suspected to be involved.
" The Crime Investigation Sector of DVP Kukës, in cooperation with the Regional Directorate of the Kukës-Diber Police Surveillance Agency, Investigation Sector, finalized the police operation coded "Line", after an investigation with proactive methods, carried out under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office of Kukes.
They were caught in the act while transporting by bus, vehicle parts, worth about 8000 euros, smuggled from Kosovo, 3 citizens are arrested.
Also, 1 customs officer of the Morin Customs Branch and 3 police officers of the PKK Morin, suspected to be involved in this case, were arrested.
Suspected smuggled goods (vehicle discs) are seized.
As a result of a proactively pursued investigation, to crack down on cases of transportation of various goods, from Kosovo, with the aim of selling them in Albania, the coded police operation "Line" was finalized, in the framework of which:
- the citizens were put in handcuffs:
Sh. H., 53 years old, GB, 37 years old and IH, 35 years old, for the criminal offense "Smuggling with other goods", committed in cooperation;
Xh. Sh., 46 years old, with customs duty at the Morinë Customs Branch, for the criminal offense "Smuggling by employees related to customs activity". "- announced the police.
