The father of 26-year-old Martin Çeço has reacted sharply after the decision of the Court of Appeal in Tirana, which placed the three suspects in his son's murder under "house arrest".

Shocked and outraged, Nevzat Çeço stated that he feels abandoned by justice and that his family has been facing incurable pain since June 2022.

In a statement to the media, he stated that his son "was not at fault" and that the crime was committed by people who have already been identified and have given statements about the incident, but who are now benefiting from the easing of security measures.

He said he would do justice himself by burning the perpetrators with gasoline and then committing suicide in the courtroom. He also emphasized that he is no longer afraid of death and does not accept that the perpetrators who declared their involvement in the crime should be released without any punishment.

"I have nothing more to say. My son ran away without any fault. I will go after him tomorrow. I will burn them with gasoline, I will burn them, I will not let them go. House arrest, release are those things. I do not regret my life at all, but I did not disappear them. I will not let them go, I will say it bluntly, let them arrest me, let them do whatever they want, I will find their turn, I will find a can of gasoline, I will burn them as a family," he said, outraged by the Appeals decision.

Martin's father says he no longer believes in justice, after the Court released them when the perpetrators declared their involvement.

"They are the perpetrators, they said it with their own mouths and now they should be released. The boy didn't even have meetings with the maid, nothing, he had two lovers, why didn't he commit a crime with them, but he did it with my son. They planted drugs up there and two people had gone to Maliq to eliminate my son. If you open your mouth, they'll eliminate you, they told him. My son was innocent. I don't believe in justice anymore, they sentenced him to 25 years, they gave him to Tirana, they said this crime is punishable by life imprisonment, now they've released them completely," he continues.

Disappointed by the court's decision for his son, Nevzat Çeço stressed that he will not let his revenge go unpunished, because he expects the maximum punishment for the perpetrators.
