A 41-year-old man has been arrested by police in Fushë Krujë, suspected of being an accomplice of the perpetrator of the TNT explosion at a bar in Fushë Krujë, an event that occurred on January 31, 2025.
It is learned that 41-year-old Mondi Topalli helped the perpetrator Mirgen Zalla leave the scene in his car.
During a search of the 41-year-old's apartment, police found and seized an unlicensed shotgun, a sporting weapon, and ammunition.
"Intensive investigations continue to clarify and fully document the event on 31.01.2025, where the facade of a bar in Fushë Krujë was damaged with explosives.
As a result of in-depth investigations, the main perpetrator of the explosive device has been identified and work continues to arrest him.
In the course of the work, the 41-year-old man previously wanted for this incident was arrested and handcuffed. The investigation revealed that the 41-year-old is an accomplice of the main perpetrator of the incident. Hunting weapons, sporting weapons and combat ammunition were seized.
As a result of the investigative and operational actions carried out with the aim of fully clarifying and documenting the event that occurred on 31.01.2025, where the facade of a bar in Fushë Krujë was damaged with explosives, they have made it possible to identify and declare the perpetrator of the event, citizen MZ, 40 years old, wanted, as well as to capture and detain citizen MT, 41 years old, identified as the accomplice of citizen MZ.
Citizen MZ is suspected of placing the explosives in the premises of citizen BT, and then leaving the scene in citizen MT's vehicle.
"During the search of the apartment of citizen MZ, the Police services found and seized an unlicensed hunting weapon, a sporting weapon and ammunition. The Police services are working to arrest citizen MZ. The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
