Stealing cars with the aim of using them in criminal events had become a common activity of Laert Haxhiu's group and his members.
People used almost the same trick, catching young couples having sex in the car or young people using drugs inside their vehicles.
"...We are the police, don't move...". This was the first sentence used by the members of the group and after that, they forced couples caught having sex or drinking drugs to get out of the vehicle, with the idea that they were caught illegally by the police.
Inside the car were the members of the group, speeding away. The stolen vehicles were then used to commit murder and other crimes.
Artan Tafani, the associate of the prosecution, has shown some moments when they used this trick to steal vehicles.
A "Benz-Mercedez" type car found and seized in the garage of Enio Meçaj in the area of "Astiri", turns out to be stolen in Durrës by Tafani and Lulzim Arapi.
These two people in collaboration with Laert Haxhiu have monitored a young man while he was consuming cocaine inside his car. Tafani and Arapi got out of Laerti's car and from there they went to the gas station where the young man was standing.

The young man got out of the car with the idea that he was dealing with a police officer.
But as soon as they took the key, Tafani and Arapi got into his "Benz" vehicle and left. This tool was taken to Saranda, being used for surveillance with the aim of killing citizen R. Çaushi.
But unable to find the latter, the stolen "Benz" was brought to Tirana, being kept locked in the premises of a garage, until it was seized by the police in June.
Another case of attempted theft of a Benz is on the Tirana-Elbasan road. Tafani, Lulzim Arapi and Firdeus Berberi, caught two young men by surprise while having sex inside the car.
They introduced themselves as police officers, asking them to get out of the car.
As Tafani told, only the girl got out of the car and started crying, while Tafani asked her to take her clothes and get dressed.
The young boy refused to get out of the car, who told them that his father had bought the car and could not hand it over to anyone.
He has raised doubts about their presentation as policemen and has locked doors from the inside, refusing to go out.
Unable to get the car and with the girl crying because she was naked, they left without managing to steal the car they had their eye on.
Another case of vehicle theft, while couples were caught having sex, is the theft of the "Fiat Chroma" vehicle.
Inside the vehicle with license plate AA913ML were Endri.H and his girlfriend Ermira.L. The two young men had parked the car in the area behind "Casa Italia" and while they were having sex, they were confronted by unknown persons armed with pistols with silencers.
Everything happened on September 24, 2019, when around 7:40 p.m., a person appeared in front of the couple saying "...Police, stop, don't move...".
According to Endri.H's testimony, the two people who surrounded him got out of a "Mercedes-Benz" vehicle. One of them slapped him, while the other, who was holding a pistol, told him: "...the police don't move...get out of the car...".
This person was about 180 cm tall, with a thin body and with his hair standing up, and when he spoke he had the accent of Berat and Fier.
Endri got out of the car and this person put the thing like a pistol on his back and he is sitting on his knees on the road next to the vehicle.
At this time, the other person, who was short, with an average body, who was wearing a T-shirt with a chain, with a hood on his head, approached them, got out of the back of the vehicle and from there he took Ermira down. which was in the back seat of the vehicle.
